A varied role with rotations to different areas within our mini-teams, enabling experience of medicine use across all specialties, including rotations based in the dispensary and pharmacy stores. Duties include going to wards to order stock and deliver medicines, supplying medicines from pharmacy stores, and dispensing medicines in the dispensary.
Previous experience of working in a pharmacy environment (hospital or retail) is desirable, but not essential as full in-house training will be provided, including support to gain BTech level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills. To qualify for enrolment on BTech level 2, it is essential that you have GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade C (4) or above in English Language, Mathematics, and a Science.
Hours of work depend on specific service requirements and will include participation in late duty, weekend, and bank holiday working. Part-time working and job share will be considered. A significant amount of manual handling is involved.
