Role:
In your role as Head of Finance you will lead the finance team and be heavily involved in day-to-day, hands-on running of the finance function.
Duties will include:
1. Leading and managing the Finance team including allocation, monitoring and review of work, carrying out appraisals, training and personal development, resource planning and running regular team meetings
2. Preparing monthly management accounts and forecasts (including Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements) with supporting commentary, and KPIs
3. Ensuring Financial Regulations and Procedures are adhered to and are updated on a regular basis
4. Ensuring that effective budgetary controls are in place and that budget holders and management receive regular and timely reports on performance against budgets
5. Providing strategic leadership to ensure the organisation meets its corporate objectives
The successful candidate:
6. Will be fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA, or equivalent)
7. Have experience within the Public Sector
8. Have a proven leadership approach
