Classroom Support Worker - Reading

A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Classroom Support Worker in a primary school in Reading. The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
The role as a Classroom Support Worker:
1. Support students who struggle with their class work
2. Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
3. Provide support to the class teacher
4. Help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
5. Keep the classroom tidy and presentable
6. Encourage children to do their best
7. Help manage classroom behaviour
8. Listen to the children read and practice their phonics
The successful Classroom Support Worker:
1. Must be calm and compassionate; personality is everything!
2. Must be able to take initiative and problem solve
3. Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
4. Must be patient as some students struggle with additional learning needs
5. Must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
6. Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
7. Must have the right to live/work in the UK; we do not offer sponsorships
