As an Assistant Engineering Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small D&A team, under the guidance of an Engineering Group Leader, to meet agreed milestones and deliverables on time, on cost and on quality. You will be leading the design & analyses activities to develop, qualify and support landing gears systems throughout its life cycle for your team.
Complementary Description
•Lead a team of engineers to meet agreed project milestones and deliverables
•Technical, financial and scheduling of the team's activities
•Promote professional and personal development of all the team member through the PDR process
•Ensure a 'fit for purpose' technical solution is developed to meet the required schedule while ensuring compliance to processes & procedures
•Compile Work Package Specifications as required to support delivery of the team's objectives
•Monitor offload activities adherence to schedule and costs while identify any associated risks
•Work with the functional management to ensure adequate resources and skills are available
•Work with the EGL to ensure the team's compliance to processes, procedures, methods and tools
•Support the engineering project plan in Osmoz, by updating plans on a regular basis, according to load identified and capacity required to achieve the program's validated objectives for short and long term
•Support the technical validation of repairs & NCR's from within the team
•Encourage, support and be accountable for initiatives to improve cost, quality, delivery, health, safety and environmental performance
•Promote product technical improvements through the program chief engineers office (PCEO) and functional management
•Support technical audits and ensure agreed actions are closed in compliance with an agreed timeline
Job Requirements
You will be required to demonstrate experience and proven results in a range of engineering activities. Project management, communication and decision making skills are essential to this role, as is your general understanding of finance. Proven experience of coaching and developing others would be an advantage.
