We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in gaining valuable experience working with children in schools. Whether you're seeking full-time, part-time, or flexible working hours, we offer a range of opportunities that fit your schedule. As a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to work across various schools, engaging with children of different ages and abilities.
No prior qualifications are necessary! We provide a free Level 2 Teaching Assistant course for candidates with the right experience. All you need is the drive and passion to make a positive impact on children's lives. You'll primarily work alongside class teachers to support students, sometimes on a one-on-one basis, catering to a range of needs, including those with learning difficulties.
We particularly encourage applicants with previous experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals to apply!
What You'll Do:
* Support students in their educational journey
* Help manage and guide behaviour in accordance with school policies
* Collaborate with teachers to implement academic or social interventions
* Assist in delivering creative and engaging lessons
* Utilize formative and summative assessments
* Support phonics education following the school's chosen program
* Foster independence in life skills
* Ensure outstanding safeguarding and pastoral care
Ideal Candidates Will:
* Have experience working with children or vulnerable adults
* Be proactive, energetic, kind, and caring
* Possess an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to undergo the process)
* Have a fully checkable work history
* Hold a driving license or be willing to use public transport within Hull
* Be in good mental and physical health, resilient, and reliable
* Be able to work with vulnerable and challenging students in a school environment
This role requires a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
