Salary: If a range is being advertised: £85,000 - £105,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract type: 1 x Fixed Term Contract April 2025 - April 2026
Location: Office Base is London. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to join the BBC Content HR team, where you will be working in partnership with our Television genres. These teams commission and oversee our Drama, Factual, Comedy, Entertainment and Film output as well as creating the strategy and curational excellence of our iPlayer and channels.

Main Responsibilities
1. You’ll be a key part of the HR leadership team within BBC Content - working alongside the HR Director and Senior HRBPs. You will work closely with senior leaders across TV commissioning, iPlayer and business support to deliver their people objectives, support our mission to be an inclusive employer and manage and mitigate risks.
2. You will implement and lead on interventions that support representation, appropriate culture, behaviours, skills, and high performance.
3. You will work with teams across the HR function to ensure a world class HR service is provided for these teams and support managers in problem solving and setting high standards of leadership.
4. You will lead and manage two HRBP’s and be the strategic lead for their area, implementing initiatives that support with raising the standards for the TV industry as a whole.
5. You will deliver HR projects and contribute to the development of practice and policy based on the needs of the organisation and the wider TV industry.
Are you the right candidate
1. You are an experienced generalist HR professional, with strong experience in Business partnering within a large and complex organisation, ideally from a TV, media or creative sector background.
2. You are experienced in working with senior leaders in an advisory and coaching capacity to deliver organisational objectives.
3. You will have good empathy and resilience, striving to understand the pressures on our creative leaders.
4. You have previous management and leadership experience and are comfortable with managing a team.
5. You are familiar with partnering with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally, delivering at pace and working with ambiguity.
6. You have previously worked with external and industry partners to implement and deliver change in the sector.
7. You have extensive experience of managing complex employee relations cases.
8. You develop effective relationships with leaders and work creatively, constructively and collaboratively to deliver results.
9. You’ll have experience of working on large change projects including Organisational Design.
10. You’ve previously led and delivered diversity and inclusion strategies, in partnership with your senior stakeholders.
11. You will be big picture/future focused, innovative, flexible and connective in your approach.
12. You’ll have strong communications skills that enable communication of complex analytic results and business impact.
13. You’ll be comfortable with data driven decision making and analysis – supporting teams to consider trends and patterns.
14. You will have an ability to build strong networks with senior leaders to deliver the most effective outcomes.
15. You love BBC content and have an interest in the role TV plays for the BBC and society.
