You will be working to provide a positive experience for patients and their families whilst providing enriching volunteering opportunities and support for our volunteers. You will have the opportunity to input in to our volunteer strategy and will have responsibility for managing other members of the team.

To ensure the provision and delivery of high quality efficient and effective volunteer services at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre
To provide effective leadership and performance management of volunteers administration staff within the Cancer Support and Information Services team
The post-holder will support their line Manager in the management of all aspects of services and performance management
They will be directly responsible for the management and co-ordination of volunteer and administrative staff within a defined area
They will also be responsible for robust communication and effective management of access issues
To work unsupervised and act independently to manage own workload, referring to the appropriate manager when necessary
Responsible for the delivery of agreed targets and standards
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians in the Trust
To innovate more effective systems to benefit the department and the Trust

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.
