Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) are seeking a Band 6 Specialist Oncology Dietitian to join our diverse team. The post holder will gain experience working in a large busy acute teaching trust.
The post holder will work alongside colleagues within the Oncology dietetic team to support the timely delivery of nutritional intervention for those admitted to the oncology wards.
We are seeking someone who can adapt to a changing environment and work well within a team, as you will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
You must be a registered dietitian that has suitable previous experience working with complex patients.
The role will require the post holder to undertake nutritional assessment and treatment of patients who may have highly complex and/or chronic presentation and work closely with other members of the ward multidisciplinary teams (MDT). This will include attendance where required at best interest meetings, ward rounds, MDT meetings and service improvement meetings (such as clinical governance).
The dietetics department offers various development opportunities and can provide additional training.

Experience
* Demonstrates experience working within an acute hospital setting.
* Demonstrates experience of supervising staff.
* Evidence of team working.
* Adequate post-registration experience of service delivery in a variety of different clinical skills.
* Evidence of experience working as a specialist dietitian.
* Experience of mentoring junior staff, dietetic assistants and students.
Qualifications
* BSc or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics.
* HCPC Registration.
* Post registration training Clinical Supervisory Skills Course.
