Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Engineer to join our Balvac team working on projects across the UK

Our clients include Highways as well as some of the major local authorities across the UK. These services have also been successfully transferred into various other key sectors including rail, marine, coastal, power, industrial and commercial sectors.
With an ever-increasing portfolio and a major expansion planned, we are looking to identify several talented individuals (Contracts Engineers, Site Agents, Project Managers & Specialist Services Engineers) based across the country to join this high-octane energy driven team.

What you'll be doing
As a Contracts Engineer you will:
* Manage internal resource and subcontractors
* Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings,
specification and Project Management Plan
* Manage site dimensional control ensuring that contractors have the facilities for
setting out of the works
* Produce and review construction methods statements ensuring that the works
are constructed efficiently and safely
* Produce all site documentation for delivery of the works including PMP, PVPMP,
ITP, Construction Phase Management Plan etc as required
* Develop then work to programmes, measuring progress and productivity outputs
* Understand and apply the procedures and processes detailed in the project
Health, Safety and Environmental plans, and to promote a safe working culture.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent preferable
* Experience in delivery of structural repair/specialist repair projects
* Good QC/QA experience
* Previous experience of working on Infrastructure schemes on concrete structures
* Organise works and be able to manage multiple teams efficiently.
