Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant

Daily Rate: £90 per day (PAYE)
About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students with complex needs. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional educational and emotional support to students in a variety of classroom settings within the Frome, Somerset area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored assistance to students with complex needs, including but not limited to emotional, behavioural, sensory, physical, or cognitive challenges.
2. Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning activities under the supervision and direction of the classroom teacher.
3. Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor the progress of each student.
4. Facilitate inclusive learning opportunities and encourage students to engage fully in their educational experience.
5. Foster a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for students to learn and grow.
6. Establish and maintain positive and constructive communication with students, staff, and parents/carers.
7. Adapt to various educational settings and work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the classroom and school.
Requirements:
1. A passion for education and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of students with complex needs.
2. Relevant experience working with children or young people, preferably within an educational setting.
3. A patient and resilient approach, with the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the wider school community.
5. Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with your application if you don't have one currently).
6. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
