Contract: Initial 6-12 months, Outside IR35

We are seeking multiple Commissioning Engineers for projects across Southern Water, Thames Water, and Severn Trent Water regions. If you have extensive water industry experience, this is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site commissioning activities to ensure projects are delivered safely and on time.
Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and project team to integrate design and operational requirements.
Monitor MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) risks and ensure safety compliance.
Conduct commissioning system inductions and toolbox talks to maintain high safety standards.
Review and complete testing and inspection records (ITR/ITP).
Additional Responsibilities:
Collaborate with design teams to ensure commissioning requirements are integrated from the design phase.
Review critical design documents such as:
Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
Telemetry and control system specifications.
Oversee and sign off on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Develop the initial Commissioning Programme and attend project meetings to provide updates.
Manage commissioning documentation, logs, and deliverables.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, particularly in water or water recycling operations.
Practical knowledge of water and water recycling processes.
Valid UK driving license, Water Hygiene Card (Blue Water Card), and CSCS Card.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a project team.
