Art Teacher in a new SEN provision Location : Horsham, West Sussex Contract Type : Permanent, full-time Hours : 40 hours per week Salary : £31,650 - £45,646 (M1 – UPS1) depending on experience Start Date: Summer term 2025 or Autumn term 2025 Aurora Vincent House School As part of our growth strategy, we are really pleased to be opening a brand new SEND Secondary School in 2025 in the heart of Horsham, West Sussex for young neurodivergent people aged 11-16. Many students are working at - or close to - age expectations. Most of our students are coming to us from mainstream education to have access to an adapted National Curriculum delivered in small classes with a focus on meeting their sensory needs and support for their emotional wellbeing. The Role: You will be responsible for the delivery of the Art curriculum to students aged 11-16. Many of our students are passionate about art and it is a subject that helps them to regulate their emotions too. Therefore some students will be given access to additional art lessons. This is an exciting opportunity where you would be integral to developing a unique SEND provision and building a bespoke curriculum with the support of Aurora.
