As the Manufacturing Team Manager, you are expected to make a positive impact and deliver results through others, by overseeing their development and leading by example. The purpose of your role is to manage people, plant, product, and process delivery. You will be responsible for area KPIs, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Key accountabilities & deliverables
* Overall responsibility for leading Health & Safety of self and team and promoting a safety culture which every team member understands their personal accountability for safety.
* Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems in all areas of responsibility.
* Direct and challenge team members to comply with all requirements and behaviors of their role profile.
* Responsible for developing, motivating, leading & coaching all Team Members.
* Conduct regular monitoring and feedback of Team Members to ensure skill, knowledge & behaviors are maintained.
* Ensure production and conformance to plan targets are met and deploy the labor plan.
* Accountable for running lines efficiently to achieve budgeted targets on productivity (OEE), waste, and CTP.
* Ensure all relevant documentation is completed to the required standard.
* Ensure effective utilization of all relevant systems to gather and produce robust management information.
* Ensure effective communication between all site teams by utilizing the tiered accountability process & appropriate escalation points.
* Ensure staff understand & demonstrate the importance of high levels of customer service both internal and external.
* Continuously identify ways to reduce costs, improve standards, and efficiency in all areas through self and proactive engagement of the team.

Experience
* Management experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience of working within a Lean Environment.
* Working examples of working in a diverse culture.
* Track record of managing high-performing teams in a fast-moving environment.
* Experience of working in a unionized environment.
* Working examples of facilitating change management in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications/Education
* Lean Qualification.
* Food Level Safety 3.
* IOSH.
* Health & Safety level 3.
* Management qualification (Level 3 or above).
