The Role
As a Maintenance Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in theproduction line team. You’ll be the lead Maintenance Engineer foran area and be part of a leadership team of 3 (Process Lead,Maintenance Lead and Line Lead).
The Maintenance Lead is responsible foroverseeing and delivering defined engineering processes within yourarea. These processes are primarily designed to reduce machinestoppages and ensure the correct level of asset care andmaintenance strategy is deployed to each equipment item. This willbe achieved by leading and coaching the entire area team to delivertrue Autonomous Maintenance. As part of the leadership team foryour area, you’ll review losses within the area, develop actionplans and deliver sustained improvement results.
You will be a crucialresource to ensure that the correct level of engineering capabilityis achieved within the team to progress our zero loss journey. Thisrole will also require to you play a key role in the delivery ofyour own improvement initiatives along with larger capital projectsfor your area.
You’ll be an excellent coach and motivator, withsignificant, demonstrable experience in this area. Some ofyour day-to-day/regular activities will include:
* Maintenance Planning and Scheduling DMs (DailyMaintenance) for the lines
* Review of allbreakdowns and deploy the appropriate countermeasure to preventreoccurrence.
* Oversee the Maintenance Planningfor your area
* Provide updates during DDS (DailyDirection Setting meeting) to review breakdowns and Maintenanceplans from the last 24hrs
* Prepare and lead thescheduling of the maintenance work for the next week during theweekly maintenance meeting
* Work with otherMaintenance Leads to support the Progressive Maintenance (PM)Pillar by updating key KPI’s and attending Pillarmeetings.
* Prepare the schedules for monthlymaintenance work as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and aspreviously identified during the monthlymeeting
* Assist the Autonomous Maintenance (AM)Pillar by building capability within our daily management systems.Examples of this are C.I.L’s (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate), DefectHanling & Centrelines.
* Developing coachingplans to improve your area team’s capability to deliver the correctlevels of maintenance.

TheCandidate:
In order to besuccessful in the role, you’ll need certain skills, experience andknowledge, including:
* Aminimum level 3 electrical qualification with hands on experience(Essential)
* HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineeringdiscipline (ideally with an electrical bias) – (Highlydesirable)
* Previously worked with a TPM /RCMmaintenance environment -– (Highlydesirable)
* Proven strong engineering andproblem-solving skills - (Essential)
* Experienceof utilising Lean tools and techniques - (Highlydesirable)
* Previous coaching experience - -(Highly desirable)
