The role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead | Consultant to join our specialist nature consultancy team. This is a really exciting opportunity to drive impact and play an integral role in shaping Fola’s future.
a) Client Delivery
* Own the detail. Act as key contact for internal technical queries and client demands around relevant nature-related frameworks/ guidelines/ standards such as TNFD, CSRD, SBTN, CDP etc.
* Deliver projects and insights. Manage client engagements (and internal teams) to understand and address their nature and sustainability-related needs and challenges, including impact and dependency assessments, risk and opportunity analyses, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in data analysis and visualisation including LCA and GIS.
* Refine and improve our diagnostic. Lead the delivery of Fola's unique nature diagnostic.
b) Relationship Management
* Maintain a strong network. Attract new clients to the business and maintain a strong personal network of contacts. Build and nurture strong client relationships, fostering high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
* Business development. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including drafting proposals and pitching to potential clients. Collaborate with the wider team to develop marketing strategies and expand Fola's client base.
* Lead our teams. Lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and expertise to core team members and contractors.
c) Thought Leadership & Advocacy
* Finger on the pulse. Stay abreast of the latest trends, research, and regulatory developments in environmental sustainability and nature.
* Share knowledge. Support the business to manage and maintain an up-to-date central knowledge database on key nature-related updates to frameworks/ guidelines/ standards.
* Build your brand. Promote Fola's mission and values through publications and participation in industry forums and conferences. Contribute to the development of Fola's thought leadership materials, including white papers, case studies, and blogs.
d) Additional Responsibilities
* Project management, including resource allocation and monitoring progress.
* Financial management of projects and contribution to company revenue targets.
* Team leadership, mentoring, and development of junior team members.
* Quality assurance of all client deliverables.
* Continuous improvement of service offerings and methodologies.
* Stakeholder management, both internal and external.
Requirements:
We need a self-starter who brings:
* Our most important requirement is that you bring deep knowledge of environmental sustainability, natural capital, and related regulatory and reporting frameworks. This should be specifically around TNFD, SBTN, CSRD etc.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Significant experience of working with large corporations/ financial institutions.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire clients and stakeholders.
* Strong PowerPoint/ presentation skills.
Other key requirements:
* Bachelor’ or Masters degree in relevant field (or equivalent experience)
* 4-5+ years of experience in nature consulting
* Right to work in the UK
