What you’ll do
As a Medical Therapeutic Area Lead under our Medical Team, you will supervise a group of Medical Science Liaisons and Therapeutic Area Medical Partners. You will work with therapeutic brand leaders to develop national strategies for healthcare thought leaders and coordinate Medical Liaison activities with the sales group.
* Leads team of Medical Science Liaisons and Therapeutic Area Medical Partners.
* Develops and drives innovative collaboration with internal and external partners.
* Builds Medical Science Liaison capabilities and ensures they deliver excellent results.
* Serves as a member of the assigned Therapeutic Area Core Team and leads initiatives that impact national strategies for a specific therapeutic area.
* Serves as a member of the Extended Leadership Team and leads initiatives that impact a specific Therapeutic Area and cross-Therapeutic Areas.
* Works with sales leaders to coordinate Medical Liaison activities and optimize resource use.
* Integrates scientific and medical knowledge from key opinion leaders, brand teams, and literature to identify and forecast trends that might impact AZ business across brands.
Essential:
* Advanced degree in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, or equivalent.
* 6 – 8 years’ experience as a Medical Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry.
* Strong leadership capabilities.
Desirable:
* Doctorate in Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Medicine, or equivalent.
* Established track record of basic or clinical research.
* Demonstrated expertise in the Medical Education process.
