What you'll do
This is a role where your leadership and expertise will make a meaningful impact every day. You'll:
* Lead and oversee social care delivery, ensuring the well-being, dignity, and choices of our residents are always prioritised.
* Manage and develop your team which include the wellbeing team and house leads fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive culture.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and best practices, handling audits, safeguarding, health and safety investigations, and escalated concerns.
* Support residents and their families through assessments, care plans, and key decisions.
* Work with the wider care home management team to deliver continuous improvement and uphold St Monica Trust's reputation for excellence.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career, bringing:
* A minimum level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of CQC regulations, the Mental Capacity Act, and care standards.
* Experience in a supervisory or management role within a care setting, ideally with exposure to dementia care.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
* A collaborative and empathetic approach, with the ability to inspire your team and build strong relationships with residents and families.
If you're working towards a Level 5 in Management and Leadership, or have specialist dementia care qualifications, that's an added bonus-but we'll support your development if not.

Key Results
Summary Responsibilities
* Management and delivery of social care and well-being to our care home residents in line with the regulations/framework established in the CQC Regulations and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, Infection Control, Medication, GDPR, NMCs standards and guidance and the Mental Capacity Act.
* Actively promote holistic and multi-disciplinary approaches to residents' well-being and care and act as a trusted advisor delivering advice to residents and their families.
* Management of admissions, assessments, safeguarding, audits, CQC reporting, incident reporting, health and safety investigations and resolving escalated complaints.
* Oversee assessment of prospective residents' needs, their care plans and risk assessments.
* Assess and report on the well-being and satisfaction levels of residents, taking forward continuous improvements.
* Build relations and unification with the villages and other care homes.
* People management and development duties.
Other Skills and Qualifications
Essential
* Level 4 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Working knowledge and understanding of the CQC Regulations and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, Infection Control, Medication, GDPR, NMCs standards and guidance and the Mental Capacity Act.
* Experience of working with older people, those with a disability, and/or dementia
* Experience of working in a nursing home/hospital/sheltered housing/social care setting in a supervisory/management capacity
* Confident with using IT and an advanced understanding of Word/Email
* Knowledge and use of customer service principles
* Knowledge of manual handling and food and hygiene practices
Desirable
* Qualified and NMC Registered Nurse (adult level 1)
* Level 5 in Management and Leadership (or equivalent) or working towards
* Level 3 qualification in Dementia Care (or equivalent)
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Specialist skills and experience in dementia
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. This is a 12 month FTC maternity leave cover
Salary: £57,388 per annum
