What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational part time Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCo) Assistant Headteacher to join our team of dedicated and hard working professionals on a maternity cover contract; commencing on Monday 24 February 2025.
The Assistant Headteacher will work within the leadership team to drive the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
This is a part-time, non-class based role working 2-2.5 days per week (Monday to Wednesday).
The ideal candidate will have:
• outstanding teacher skills and commitment to high quality teaching and learning for all;
• successful experience of promoting effective SEN provision within the primary phase
• NPQ qualification;
• experience of managing others and supporting them to develop best practice;
• excellent written and oral communication skills;
• commitment to being involved in our school community and;
• a passion to promote those with special educational needs and disabilities.
