Acorn by Synergie are recruiting on behalf of a public sector client for an Assistant Area Officer to work within the Communities and Leisure services division.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead and support the counties allotments and growing projects.
The successful candidate will build and establish links with each of the counties allotment associations and allotment federations to develop an effective and detailed database of the community growing sector.
The role will require you to work with associations, allotment plot holders, contractors, grant funders and other officers to support the allotments to develop, remain compliant with legislation and help map allotment demand.
Monday - Friday, 9am-5:30pm
£15.17 -£15.89 per hour
Location - Caerphilly Borough
Essentia l
* Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualification on the National Qualification Framework
* Full UK Category B (Cars) Driving Licence
* Manual Handling
Skills
* A basic knowledge of legislation pertaining to the management of allotments
* Experience in managing a team
* Experience of dealing with the public in a service delivery environment
* IT skills
