Teaching Assistant - SEN Support
Location: Alnwick | Start Date: January 2025 | Pay: £80-£95 per day
We are seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support the learning and development of pupils in one of our outstanding SEN schools located in Alnwick. This is an excellent opportunity to positively impact pupils' lives, progress, and development in a rewarding long-term role.
School:

Role:
- Pay: £80-£95 per day.
- Hours: 08:30-16:00, with flexible options for full-time or part-time work (1-5 days per week).
- Contract: Temporary role until July 2025, with potential to extend.
- Start Date: January 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse SEN and challenging behaviours.
- Work with pupils who may have ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs. Roles are available across all age groups, tailored to the successful candidate's skills and preferences.
- Support pupils who may be non-verbal or require personal care, fostering their development in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to understand individual pupils' needs and learning styles, ensuring tailored support.
Requirements:
- A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare (desirable).
- Experience working with children in UK schools.
- A resilient, positive, and proactive approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Essential:
Right to work in the UK.
An enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for one.
Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
