Control & Systems Engineer
Location: Burton on Trent
Salary: £44,000 - £54,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications, skills, and experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

As a Control & Systems Engineer, you’ll take ownership of diverse projects from concept to implementation, ensuring they are completed within agreed timelines and budgets. You’ll be a key technical specialist, leading advancements in software and control systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering a professional, safe, and first-class engineering service.
2. Designing, developing, and upgrading industrial systems and software.
3. Leading projects with a hands-on approach while also acting as a consultant when needed.
4. Providing training, coaching, and support to colleagues and apprentices.
5. Collaborating with suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions.
6. Continuously seeking improvements in technical efficiency and effectiveness.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone with a high degree of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Strong educational background, including English and Maths.
2. Relevant qualifications in industrial software or control systems engineering (HNC/HND/Degree).
3. Extensive knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC interfaces, and industrial automation (e.g., Siemens S7, GEM 80).
4. Experience in programming and fault-finding on AC and DC drives.
5. Proficiency with databases (SQL, Access), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
6. Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Desirable:
1. Familiarity with WinCC Professional or Advanced.
2. Fluency in an additional language.
