Supervisors Title: Team Leader Main Purpose: To promote and ensure high standards of care and support to all Service Users in the community. To play a key supporting role under the direction and supervision of the team leader who will remain responsible and accountable for the assessment and planning of community services. Key Responsibilities: Meet Customers personal care requirements, help with getting in and out of bed, washing, bathing, dressing and where necessary, help going to the toilet Overseeing medication Food preparation where necessary Effectively liaising with Service Users, external contacts and Brunelcare staff to ensure continuity of quality focused care/support service. Take responsibility for hearing, noting and reporting any comments, compliments, complaints or suggestions for improvements to service. To keep accurate records as requested, and report relevant information to the Team Leader Act as a mentor to staff. Assist in training supervision and appraisal of staff Know and be able to communicate Brunelcare policies and regulations to staff Provide cover for Team Leader duties during absence Carry out on-call duties Any other duty reasonably requested by the line manager Knowledge and Experience: Excellent communication skills Flexible, reliable and punctual Genuine interest in the welfare of people Good organisational skills Problem solving An appreciation of the needs of older people is essential Full training will be provided Job Contacts: Service Users and their representatives Operational staff at all levels Office Staff at all levels Social Workers District nurses Other healthcare professionals
