The Lansdowne Hotel is a family-owned business which has been in the same family for over 112 years. We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our management team.
As Junior Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel during your shift. You will be the liaison between all departments, needing to communicate between Front of House, Food and Beverage areas, housekeeping, and most importantly, the guests themselves. The successful candidate needs to have an overall understanding of all of the above in order to assist any department that might need help.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate including first aid at work, Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 Health & Safety, and anything else necessary to execute the role confidently.

Responsibilities include:
1. Providing outstanding customer care to all our guests.
2. Ensuring each department is prepared and staffed for each shift.
3. Dealing with sales inquiries in the absence of the sales department.
4. Assisting with the efficient running of weddings, functions & conferences during each shift.
5. Monitoring health and safety throughout the hotel.
6. Providing a visible management presence while on duty and dealing with any complaints.
7. Overlooking day-to-day operation of the whole facility.
8. Communicating with customers (handling complaints, collecting ideas on improving operations, providing information, selling facilities, checking premises, reporting any damages and breakdowns, and checking if repairs have been completed).
9. Communicating with employees (problem solving, distributing work duties, providing all means to get the work done).
10. Assisting other heads of departments with their work.
11. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Manager.
