Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join our administration team that supports our Specialist Perinatal Service. The successful candidate will also be required to provide flexible administration and clerical cover across the division when required to support the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
* Provide an efficient audio, copy typing and word processing service, processing all in a timely, accurate and quality manner.
* Take comprehensive minutes for team meetings and clinical consultations, such as weekly Multi Disciplinary Meetings (MDT).
* Provide secretarial and admin support across the division when required.
* Maintain excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly telephone manner.
* Work to tight deadlines and withstand the pressure of a busy department.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and on your own initiative.

Qualifications
* RSA/OCR II Typing/Word Processing.
* Positive attitude to further training.
Skills
* Aware of need for confidentiality.
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Motivated and discreet.
* Confident manner.
Knowledge/Experience
* Use of Microsoft Word / Powerpoint/Excel.
* Secretarial experience.
