Pre-sales Consultant / Sales Engineer Core Skill: Proven experience and expert knowledge of satellite technology, satellite services and satellite networks specific core components and sub systems. SDWAN. Managed Services Provider & Satellite Technology & Satellite Services Following recent success, we are looking for a Presales Engineer. This role will require an experienced customer-facing engineer, who has the ability and presence to work independently to all levels of the customer business. You should be able to provide technical sales support in the pre-sales phase to a variety of customers across Europe, in various sectors. This will include creating network designs and presenting them to customers, and defining, demonstrating and leading test installations on customer premises. You would also provide support post-sale, including periodic review of network sizing with operations and keeping customers informed of new opportunities to grow their network. Required skills and expertise: Proven experience and expert knowledge of satellite technology, satellite services and satellite networks specific core components and sub systems. Proven experience in both core network and access network design, connectivity technologies terrestrial, wireless (4G, 5G) and satellite implementation, and knowledge of SDWAN, Cloud services and application requirements over networks. 5 years of in wide-area network engineering, presales engineering or system engineering, preferably with some exposure to satellite comms networks, and wireless networks. A good understanding of the latest network technologies such as: SDWAN (VMWare, Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco); transport (xDSL, Fibre, LTE, 5G etc.), LAN and WLAN, next generation firewall technologies, Cloud infrastructure services etc. Experience in writing proposals and responding to tenders. Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in presales or technical sales. Excellent written, presentation and communication skills. Strong customer-facing communication skills, interfacing at all levels of customer organization, and are adept at dealing with multiple stakeholders. Problem-solving, prioritisation and analytical ability. In possession of an affinity with both sales and technology functions, and a 'commercial’ approach. An undergraduate honours degree in a relevant technical discipline (ideally Telecommunications or Communications). Other requirements: Full driving licence. Ability to travel within Europe occasionally. British National, or in possession of 'Settled Status’ or other accepted right to work in UK.
