Provide high quality Occupational Therapy clinical expertise and service. Responsible for the delivery of a range of evidence-based interventions which promote independence, social inclusion, and normalization for service users. Ensure continuous responsibility for coordinating the care of allocated service users. Ordering and reviewing of equipment to facilitate independence and reduce manual handling risks. Identify barriers to rehabilitation - fatigue, cognition, psychological factors, complete assessment and treatment, signposting to appropriate services. Manage challenging clinical situations and plan interventions whilst ensuring regular evaluation of the service user's treatment plan. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, in collaboration with service users, carers, and other professionals.
Provide specialist clinical advice and contribute to clinical information on service users' progress by completing regular reviews within the duration of treatment. Work in partnership with a range of other services to provide support and treatment to service users to facilitate the safe management of their needs and conditions. Work within the safeguarding adults and children frameworks across the Trust. Complete in-service training and supervise junior staff. Take responsibility for an evidence-based clinical audit. Use of AI applications for this role should be written by the applicant.
