The Opportunity
The Junior Finance Business Partner will support the finance team in delivering key financial insights and analysis to assist with decision-making across the business. The role involves assisting with month-end financial summaries, budget preparation, forecasting, and balance sheet preparation.
Key Accountabilities
1. Prepare monthly financial summaries, highlighting key performance metrics, variances, and trends within month-end deadlines, including month-end journals.
2. Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to assist business units in understanding performance drivers and provide insights to senior stakeholders.
3. Support in the preparation and consolidation of budgets for different departments or business units.
4. Assist in the preparation of regular financial forecasts, ensuring they reflect the most current business assumptions and conditions.
5. Collaborate with key business leaders to gather relevant information.
6. Calculate and monitor run rates to assess business performance against forecasts and budgets.
7. Assist in the preparation of the balance sheet, focusing on the relevant accounts and ensuring that balances are accurate and reconciled.
8. Analyse overheads to identify trends and areas for potential cost-saving initiatives.
9. Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to provide recommendations for reducing unnecessary costs and improving efficiency.
10. Support the preparation of performance reviews, providing relevant financial data and analysis to assess business performance.
11. Provide insights into sales performance trends and highlight any deviations from forecasted figures.
12. Any other ad-hoc deliverables.
About you
Essential
1. Relevant qualification (AAT/Degree).
2. Commercial minded.
3. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
4. Willingness to try new things, innovative & pioneering approach.
5. Enthusiastic team player – able to build constructive relationships with key stakeholders.
6. Can work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Organised & Deadline Driven.
8. Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

1. Previous FP&A Experience.
