Job Title: Administrator - Allied Health Administration Team
Location: Christchurch Health Campus
Type: Permanent part-time, 34 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Allied Health Administration Team at Christchurch Hospital. In this role, you will be part of a team that provides front-of-house cover, scheduling of outpatient bookings, and staff administrative support necessary to enable coordinated care for our patients and staff.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement, this role has been mapped to National Band 4 / Profile 4A.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide front of house cover and scheduling of outpatient bookings.
2. Support staff administrative needs for coordinated patient care.
3. Assist other Allied Health Teams across Christchurch campus as needed.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
1. Excellent customer service skills.
2. Technically savvy with quick learning ability.
3. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail.
5. Work independently and meet deadlines.
6. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
7. Excellent keyboard knowledge with Dictaphone skills.
8. High-level written and verbal communication skills.
9. Demonstrated perceptiveness and proactive approach to assisting Hauora Maori.
Desired:
1. Knowledge of and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and biculturalism.
2. Broad administrative experience in a health-related field.
3. Knowledge of medical terminology.
4. Familiarity with public hospital systems.
5. Awareness of people of differing cultural backgrounds.
6. Ability to develop office systems and introduce procedures.
7. Prioritization skills and ability to work independently.
