Karpowership has set up a new subsidiary (“Kinetics”) to drive its development into new business areas and is focused on creating value through growing.

* investing in clean tech energy generation companies and
* expanding our asset base of floating and storage regasification units (FSRUs) to advance the LNG to power transition around the world rapidly.
The Kinetics business plans to build a portfolio of 800 MW of PV and BESS projects within the UK and Europe across the next 5 years, through
* acquisition of ready-to-building projects
* completing the financial investment decision including the securing of any required external financing
* appointing and managing the equipment suppliers and engineering and construction companies to build and deliver the projects.
* Managing the commercialization strategy for the assets and negotiating and managing the sale of the output of the PV projects through government support mechanisms, corporate PPSs, or trading the projects in the open market.
We are looking for an “Assistant Commercial Manager” to be assigned to our "Kinetics" department located in London Office.
The role is to support the development and acquisition of new companies and new assets in the renewable space in delivering the above objectives through undertaking the following activities.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT?
* Minimum bachelor’s degree in either an Engineering or Business-related degree,
* Experience in the renewable generation and/or energy storage sector in business development, commercial management, or business operations,
* Excellent communication, negotiation & conflict management skills,
* The ability to understand financial data at the contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved,
* Good influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels,
* Strong critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills,
* Financial understanding and business mindset,
* Keen and effective team player,
* Fluent in oral and written English,
* Top-tier Excel and PowerPoint skills.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
* Monitor trends in European renewables markets, identify potential projects, and analyze competitors to inform company strategy.
* Assist with technical reviews within the team as well as prepare executive review sessions with both internal and external management teams to identify and, screen the feasibility of identified PV and BESS ready-to-build projects and investment opportunities.
* Coordinate external advisors and internal teams for business development and investment opportunities.
* Negotiate and finalize commercial and acquisition contracts, ensuring financial closure.
* Manage timelines and deliverables for land acquisition, environmental, and socio-economic aspects of projects.
* Coordinate the evaluation of environmental impact assessments (EIA) and ensure environmental viability and compliance.
* Engage with government agencies to secure permits and represent the company in public forums.
* Build community relations, address concerns, and ensure environmental and land lease compliance.
* Oversee supplier and EPC contractor negotiations, ensuring timely project delivery within budget and quality standards.
* Prepare necessary reports, manage project budgets, and coordinate between departments to maximize profitability.
* Ensure legal compliance, resolve conflicts of stakeholders, and monitor project profitability for continuous improvement.
* Assist with the negotiation and implementation of the commercialization/monetization strategy for the project by putting in place and managing the PPA agreements with energy aggregators, energy utilities, or corporate clients as required.
