Our client, a leading manufacturer based North of York, is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Project Management within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment, with the ability to see a project from cradle to grave while engaging with all stakeholders.
Candidates will be required to oversee all aspects of the projects from Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, to Shipping.
Ideally, candidates will have experience working within a Manufacturing Engineering/Assembly-based environment. Exposure to EPCI Contracts would be highly advantageous.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM / Friday 8:30 AM - 4 PM
This role is available for an immediate start and will be based on-site 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer-focused front-end management of projects from enquiry to tender and deliverance.
2. Proven track record in managing multiple projects at any given time.
3. Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to reduce commercial risk and maximize future business opportunities.
4. Participate in internal and external meetings and supplier visits.
5. Client Site Management Meetings, updates, and project timescales.
6. Manage client improvement and service deliverance against agreed KPIs.
7. Manage project financially to maximize cash flow and avoid unnecessary commercial exposure.
8. Drive delivery of commitments.
9. Collaborate to build strong relationships.
10. Participate in production/sales meetings to ensure delivery of projects to agreed timescales and company expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Demonstrable experience in project management and streamlining projects already in process.
2. Qualified in a technical discipline.
3. Project Management qualifications (MSc, Prince2, Diploma, etc.).
4. Experienced working within a manufacturing engineering environment; exposure to EPCI contracts would be ideal.
5. Ability to bring multiple departments together to ensure on-time delivery of projects.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Strong organizational and planning skills.
8. Strong leadership skills.
9. Ability to prioritize workload and manage work pressure.
