Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Support Practitioner within Bedfordshire Community Health Services Speech and Language Therapy Service. The post will involve working with adults with acquired speech and language and swallowing difficulties caused by a variety of medical conditions.
Main duties of the job
Based at Bedford Hospital the successful candidate will work across the community, outpatients ,hospital wards and will have two sessions per week at Headway House in Bedford. (1session is hours). Headway provides services to people following brain post will require excellent communication skills. Training will be given to carry out the role. You will be under the supervision of the speech and language therapists and will also be supported by an experienced support practitioner.
