Sewell Wallis are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Wakefield who are currently looking for an experienced Product Tester to join on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will deal with product safety, any compliance legislation, plus a number of other ad hoc tasks. The role is extremely varied and would suit a person who is a team player. The company are happy for someone to work over 4 days or full-time.
What will you be doing?
Ensuring all products meet UK and EU safety standards, including conformity to regulations.
Reviewing and interpreting safety standards, regulations, and product documentation to ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation.
Maintaining and updating compliance records for all products, ensuring documentation is complete and up-to-date (e.g., safety assessments, CE/UKCA markings, test reports, and certificates of conformity).
Prepare product safety reports and liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Conducting internal audits and inspections.
Investigating safety incidents or product recalls, if applicable, and preparing reports for regulatory bodies when necessary.What skills are we looking for?
Proven experience in a Quality management role, ideally within manufacturing.
