SuDS Designs is a partof the JMS Group of companies that employ 50 staff undertakingcivil & structural engineering designs and has been servingthe Construction Industry for over 25 years.
Weare looking to recruit a talented Apprentice Civil Engineer to joinour growing civils team working on a variety of infrastructureprojects. Working alongside colleagues within the local office aswell as those in other parts of the Group you will be encouraged todeliver highways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range ofclients and sectors.
As part of civils team youwill be involved from initial scheme concept through to detaileddesign and construction stages. The role offers the opportunity forthe right candidate to develop their skills and progress theircareer working as part of a team of innovative engineers andspecialists.

Responsibilities
* Complete apprenticeship programme of learningand modular work predominantly in the workplace as well asattending external training courses to complimentlearning.
* Develop knowledge of varying buildingtechniques and materials used.
* With supportinterpret Engineers design briefs and with support and supervisionundertake design analysis and compiling reports in compliance withBritish Standards and Eurocodes.
* Utiliseknowledge and initiative to identify solutions providing feedbackand contributing ideas within team.
* Withdirection and supervision conduct site inspections and gatherrelevant data in order to compile comprehensive reports.
* Maintain records and work folder ensuring allwork is checked appropriately.
* Communicateclearly and professionally with both internal and external clientsbuilding and maintaining positiverelations.
* Attend internal design reviewmeetings in accordance with companyprotocols.
* Work within agreed deadlines whilstmaintaining accuracy and efficiency.
* Grow anddevelop knowledge experience andinitiative.
* Take responsibility for owndevelopment and CPD.
Qualifications

* Good time management and organisationalskills to efficiently manageworkload.
* Excellent spoken and writtenEnglish.
