Job Title: Locum Paediatric Preschool Speech and Language Therapist - London Banding: Band 6/7 Location: London Working Hours: Full/Part Time Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 months Rate: Subject to experience Opening Paragraph: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Whittington Trust in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse and rewarding caseload, providing speech and language therapy services in mainstream schools across Haringey. You will be involved in assessing and treating children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs, helping them achieve their full potential in the community setting. Responsibilities: As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will manage a generic caseload of children and young people within mainstream schools in the community. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, creating tailored therapy plans, and providing direct intervention for children with speech, language, and communication needs. Working closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals, you will ensure that each child receives the appropriate support to enhance their communication skills. You will also provide advice and training to school staff and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to each child's development. A full driving license is not required for this position. Qualifications and Experience: HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent Proven experience working with paediatric caseloads in mainstream schools Experience working in the community and delivering therapy in a variety of settings Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is desirable but not essential Enhanced DBS check required.
