Job summary
Applications are invited for an initial 12-month post for maternity leave cover with the possibility of extension, for an experienced Speciality Doctor in Breast Surgery at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a friendly, highly enthusiastic doctor to join the well-regarded breast team at Warwick Hospital. The candidate should be motivated and caring and will complement the existing team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to support a range of breast clinics, to be competent to see patients in their own clinics (younger women clinic, family history clinic) and to help in breast theatre / manage breast emergencies.
Support and training given if needed.
It is also expected that the individual will take part in service development projects, audits, and research. It would also help if they had an interest in medical student teaching.
The post has no on call commitment.

Job responsibilities
This is a full time post attracting 10PAs. Sessions will include outpatient clinics in both Warwick hospital and Stratford hospital, theatre, a multi-disciplinary meeting, and clinical administration. In addition, this post offers the opportunity to have sessions assigned to a service improvement project. It is expected that a minimum of 7 sessions will be assigned to direct clinical care.
