Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale
Actual Salary from: £31,650 – £49,084 (Points M1-U3) + Potential TLR 2C (£3.391)
Start Date: Easter or September 2025
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for our school to recruit an enthusiastic and committed full-time PE teacher from Easter or September 2025.
* There is also the opportunity for a TLR 2C as Subject Coordinator available for the right candidate. Please see the additional TLR attached for further details .
We are fortunate in already having a very strong team in place that is committed to delivering an engaging and deep curriculum in PE and through our Sigma Sixth Sports Academy.
Our teams compete extensively across different sports at district, county and national levels.
Our Sports Academy hosts 150 post 16 sports students studying BTEC Level 3 Sport or an A level programme including A level PE.
Our vision is that everyone feels they belong and are the best they can be, so all students are welcomed to enjoy PE in lesson time and through wide participation in extracurricular clubs and inter house competitions.
* The position will suit an experienced or early career teacher.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Be accountable for student progress and development within your classes.
* Be innovative in your own teaching and to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
* Plan collaboratively with colleagues in order to promote effective practice and provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum.
* Delivery of our broad extra-curricular programme.
* Be a form tutor to promote a sense of belonging amongst our students.

We're looking for you if you have:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* Ability to teach "outstanding" lessons in PE and Sport.
* Ability to implement schemes of work and ensure they are implemented to a high standard
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
