We are looking for an enthusiastic, strong, and committed leader to join our management group within our Fostering Service to lead one of our fostering teams, with a primary focus in the Fostering Mainstream Support Team and Mockingbird.
What you will be doing
While you will have the usual targets to achieve, you will be doing so with a very supportive leadership team around you that are always accessible from the very top down.

* As a supportive manager, you will be able to get the best from your team members whilst ensuring they are fully supported and know how valued they are.
* You will lead your team to provide high-quality supervision, support, and training to foster carers and their families to enable them to provide the best possible trauma-informed care to our children and young people.
* You will oversee a consistently good service to these carers and the children and young people they look after.
* You will promote personal and professional development through the several available pathways and programmes offered by our Children's Services to your staff.
What we need from you
* You will have a relevant professional qualification and experience in a relevant setting such as corporate parenting or social care, including experience of managing staff and supervision of other professionals.
* You will contribute towards the recruitment and retention of foster carers and service development.
* An in-depth and comprehensive understanding of children in care, foster carers, and their families is essential for this role.
* You will be able to evidence your ability to lead teams to achieve optimum performance in delivering excellent social care services for children.
* You will have evidence of ongoing continuous professional development and a thorough knowledge of current legislation and practice relating to children and young people's services.
What you need to know
* Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (child and adult) is obtained for this post.
* You will be required to travel widely within the authority, so you must either have a current driving licence and provide a car or have access to appropriate means of travel.
* Business Insurance will need to be added to your current car insurance policy.
