This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for mental health support to take on a key role in the development and operation of our daytime recovery service. As Team Leader, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the service, providing direct leadership to a dedicated team and contributing to the recovery journeys of individuals experiencing mental health crises. This role involves working within a supportive, trauma-informed environment, ensuring that individuals in distress receive the care, compassion, and tools they need to regain control of their mental health. Key Responsibilities: Lead and Support the Team: Ensure the team is well-supported, clear in its values, and responsive to service users’ needs. Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers, and Volunteers. Crisis Support: Provide immediate support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, guiding them through crisis management and safety planning. Recovery-Focused Care: Deliver trauma-informed and recovery-focused workshops, sessions, and one-on-one support. Ensure individuals receive therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioural tools, mindfulness practices, and emotional regulation techniques. Community Resource: Help position the Hub as a community resource, providing education on mental health and offering a safe, welcoming environment for those in need. Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth running of the Hub on a daily basis, maintaining high service standards, evaluating impact, and managing risks. Provide regular operational statistics and service feedback to the Service Manager. Collaboration: Liaise with external agencies, GPs, and community teams, establishing referral pathways and building positive relationships with stakeholders to enhance support for service users. Leadership in Group Work: Lead group work programmes focused on addressing mental health, substance abuse, poverty, housing issues, and other challenges faced by individuals. Skills & Experience Required: Proven leadership experience, ideally within mental health or recovery services. Strong understanding of crisis intervention and recovery-based approaches. Experience in managing and supporting teams, including volunteers and peer support workers. Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and internal teams. Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills. Familiarity with using clinical systems (e.g. Norfolk and Waveney Client Management System).
