A leading developer of fragrances and fragrance applications within the personal care and homecare industries are currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join their commercial team at their Hertfordshire site.
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and leading efforts to establish and retain business growth opportunities, the successful applicant will bring with them experience from a similar role within the fragrance, personal care of homecare industry.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement commercial strategy for the allocated product/customer portfolio in line with sales and profitability targets.
* Identify client’s needs and market trends, perform market analysis for new product opportunities, and present ideas or strategies to the customers.
* Develop excellent relationships with internal and external clients.
* Provide sales report and conduct account analysis.
* Prepare and negotiate commercial offers to drive profitable growth in line with targets.
* Be a competent partner internally & externally – an expert for the relevant fragrance market in joint brainstorming sessions and workshops with clients.
* Be a commercial champion for a key category to drive and co-ordinate strategic actions in line with strategic goals.
* Focusing on efficiently maintaining current business and pursuing new business opportunities to meet overall sales growth and performance expectations.
* Pursuing and acquiring business opportunities in the fashion retail and digital industries to meet sales targets.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
* Account management or similar experience from the fragrance, personal care or homecare industries
* Knowledge of relevant markets
* Passionate about fragrance with excellent knowledge of fragrance in the target market & categories
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Customer focused.
* Resilient and eager to learn, with a can-do attitude.
* Proven negotiation skills.
* Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
