Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Vehicle Maintenance Technician at our Tangmere workshop. You will work on a rota basis supporting operations and will need to be flexible to work weekends and bank holidays.
Main Duties of the Job
In this role, you will:
* Service, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of vehicles and specialist ambulance equipment to emergency use standards, adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
* Work on a fleet of Mercedes Sprinter & Vito, Fiat Ducato, Skoda, DAF, and Iveco vehicles used by the Ambulance Trust. Main dealer training will be provided if successful.
* Examine, inspect, and report on the condition, roadworthiness, or safety of any vehicle or equipment, utilizing diagnostic techniques.
* Communicate technical information with line managers and colleagues to arrange appointments and prepare vehicles for Ministry Testing.
* Safely recover any broken down or immobilised vehicle or equipment without risk to staff or public.
The successful candidate will have sound experience in vehicle maintenance and fault diagnosis, along with experience applying safety and maintenance standards.

Person Specification
* NVQ level 2 experience.
* Motor trade experience necessary.
Driving Licence
* Full UK driving licence.
* C1 driving licence.
Please note that the salary range is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. Successful applicants will be placed at the bottom of the banding unless relevant experience is demonstrated.
