White Label recruitment is currently working with a leading valve distributor on a brand new Sales Manager / Business Development position to lead the sales for the valves and fittings distribution arm of the business. This is a home-based position focusing on new business development as well as developing current accounts. This role is suitable for someone in the North or the Midlands.
This business has a fantastic name in the industry and invests in its staff, with many employees having been there for over 20/30 years. They specialize in smaller valves for the utilities, water, and natural gas industries, as well as applications requiring small bore and fittings for pipelines. They work with clients like National Grid and specialize in galvanized steel, brass ball valves, gate globe check, and butterfly valves, along with all associated fittings. There are significant career progression opportunities with this role to potentially progress to a much more senior position in a relatively short time.
The Role
1. Achieve forecasted growth and sales targets by a planned and agreed growth strategy.
2. Design and implement a strategic business plan for the customer base and product range.
3. Promote and build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and providing a 100% client-driven understanding of their needs.
4. Present sales results, margin, opportunities, and realistic forecasts to the management team monthly.
5. Keep abreast of and identify new emerging markets and opportunity trends, as well as being aware of new products and any competition threats/opportunities.

1. Must have a proven sales track record in valve sales.
2. Significant valve experience to be able to come in and hit the ground running.
