Your newpany: We are looking for enthusiastic andpassionate support workers to provide care to a range of service users and support them with their needs. We are based in Kidwelly, providing 24/7 care to our service users. This could include those with learning disabilities, autism,plex needs, and challenging behaviour. Our service users are typically very active and enjoy getting out into themunity for activities such as bowling, the cinema and singing and dancing.
Your new role: In the role of support worker, you will be providing support to a range of ages and personalities, promoting their individuality, and enabling them to live in-line with their support plans. As part of this role, you will be involved in social, educational, and work activities to help promote the service users social, emotional, cultural, and physical well-being. There are elements of personal care within the role, as well as general housekeeping and domestic duties. Typical shifts can range, including days and nights. The shift patterns are long days and wakeful nights. There is also a potential for sleep-ins too.
What you'll need to succeed:You will need at least 6 months experience in a social care role within the last 2 years, desirable experience in the learning disabilities field. It is important that you are passionate about supporting people, are flexible and can adapt in response to a range of situations. You must be able to use a caring approach to build trust and strong relationships.
