This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to kick-start their career in finance as we seek an Apprentice to join our finance team.

This role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to develop new skills and gain a broader understanding of the role of finance within an organisation. You will learn key principles and fundamentals of accounting whilst working towards the highly regarded Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Qualification.
You will work closely with our experienced, friendly and hard-working finance team with the opportunity to engage with various teams across the Council. You will support the team with a variety of tasks which will range in frequency and complexity from reconciliations to budgetary control and statutory returns.
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate you have the skills, experience and capabilities as described in the person specification.
Hours of work are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 3 days per week working in the office.
This apprenticeship is offered on a 2-year fixed term contract.
