Overview:

To date, the firm has achieved over £65M in energy savings in just 5 years across offices, hotels & shopping centres alone. The firm has experienced tremendous growth recently and is looking to expand their London office significantly to assist with delivering key projects across Europe.
The Commissioning & Project Engineer would join the project team. The successful candidate would have a strong technical understanding of monitoring systems as well as planning, coordinating, managing, and documenting the firm’s energy efficiency monitoring system. The individual will have the sole lead on over 10 projects and report to the Global Head of Projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Using a strong technical background to formulate monitoring solutions across different platforms and protocols (BACnet, MODBUS, etc.).
2. Mapping of meters and monitoring points into the EDGE system.
3. Commissioning of monitoring systems on the EDGE system.
4. Liaising with clients, site teams, sub-contractors, and vendors on all relevant aspects of the project.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Ensure the allocated projects are delivered on time and on budget and provide guidance and coordination for the Project delivery team.
7. Review and prepare project documentation.
8. Coordinate and interact between departments to meet the quality and scheduled requirements of the project.
9. Compliance with all Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements as outlined in relevant policies and management systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Technical understanding of MODBUS metering, including addressing of meters and mapping of monitoring systems using MODBUS protocol.
2. Technical exposure to BACnet and BMS systems.
3. Proven history of system integration.
4. Excellent computer skills with a strong understanding of networking; proficient in Excel and other Microsoft products.
5. Excellent understanding of how electrical sub-metering systems work and how to install these, with a focus on CT driven meters.
6. ECS Card and/or Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
7. Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
8. Familiarity with other sub-metering equipment such as water, gas, and thermal energy.
9. Organized approach to documentation.
10. Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
11. Familiarity with relevant Health and Safety, environmental, and quality legislation, requirements, and procedures.
12. Availability to travel to sites within the UK and Europe.
