Our client is a designer of high-quality MEP systems, providing a first-class service across a diversity of industry sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and more. This organisation is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the industry to join their expanding Edinburgh office. This company has a low staff turnover rate and provides you with the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and high-end projects.
Your new role + What you'll need to succeed:
1. You will be joining the practice as a Mechanical Engineer.
2. You will have at least 3 years of previous working experience within the UK/Ireland at another building services consultancy.
3. You will take part in the design of mechanical services across multiple projects, as part of a world-class Building Services design team.
4. You will have a good technical ability in mechanical engineering software like Hevp, HAP, IES, Revit.
5. You will carry out any or all stages of mechanical design from concept to completion as required by the project.
6. You will prepare enquiries for potential major projects.
7. You will work as part of an M&E design team where required.
8. You will report on project performance to senior engineers.
9. You will carry out technical design reviews/critiques of projects in progress.
10. Support the design planning, resourcing and fee planning of specific project teams.
11. Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
12. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
13. Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
