In this role you will have joint responsibility to provide a monthly payroll service to over 1700 colleagues across Scania. Your responsibilities will include: • Processing new starters, leavers and changes to colleagues’ records to ensure they are accurate in our Dayforce payroll system. • Processing monthly timesheet data for our colleagues in our branches to ensure accurate payroll processing.• Taking ownership of the monthly payroll process for a designated region or departments, to ensure we pay our colleagues accurately and on time.• Producing reports and analysing data to support monthly payroll sign-off and provide management insights on an ad hoc basis.,• Responding to payroll queries promptly and professionally for your specific region or departments, providing clear and accurate information.• Identifying and implementing continual improvements to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.• Accurately processing company benefits in accordance with policy and regulations.• As a subject matter expert, for your own professional development, actively participating in projects as part of the wider People and Culture Team. About you: • Attention to detail – operating with exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of your role.• Excellent communication – building strong relationships and liaising with managers and colleagues across the business to deliver a high quality, customer focused payroll service• Organised – able to simultaneously track and progress payroll activities and queries.• Team player – work as part of a team, supporting one another to ensure our customers receive a high-quality professional service. • Payroll experience – proven payroll experience in a large and complex organisation with a strong understanding of payroll legislation to include sickness and parental leave.
