We are looking for a self-motivated individual to fill the role of On-call Invigilator, IELTS and join our MOSAIC engage team!
POSITION FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for executing and securing IELTS Tests to IELTS standards on Saturdays, Sundays, and Weekends. Invigilation of secured tests will be at the MOSAIC IELTS Testing Centre in Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, and North Vancouver. Training will be provided to suitable candidates. IELTS tests are conducted on Saturdays and weekdays. The successful candidate must be able to attend a 3-hour training on March 15, 2025, and pass a skills assessment.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure the smooth running of the IELTS test
* Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines set forth by the British Council and MOSAIC
* Verify test taker identities and ensure they meet all test requirements
* Monitor the testing environment to ensure a fair and equitable testing experience for all test takers
* Provide test takers with the necessary materials before the test
* Provide clear instructions to test takers and answer any clarifying questions
* Manage test day procedures and ensure they are followed accurately
* Handle any issues or concerns that may arise during the test and report them to the IELTS Coordinator and appropriate parties
* Ensure that all test materials are collected and returned to the appropriate location
* Ensure that the test center is clean and organized before and after the test
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school completion
* Strong attention to detail
* Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
* Excellent English communication skills, other languages an asset
* Experience maintaining office procedures and managing sensitive documents
* Tactful, flexible, discrete
* Able to take initiative in the absence of supervision
* Able to work independently and within a team
* Able to apply good judgment in decision-making
* Ability to manage stressful situations
* Knowledge and experience using standard office equipment; Microsoft 365
* Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle an asset

COMPENSATION: $25.68 per hour
HOURS & LOCATIONS:
On-call shifts are available on weekends and evenings across different locations. Shifts may vary between 2 hrs - 7 hrs in length. Shifts are available in Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, and North Vancouver locations. The successful candidates must be able to commute to multiple locations.
BENEFITS:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
