The CBRE Planning and Development team across the north is 20 strong and has four distinct core activities around Development Management, Development Promotion, Regeneration/Economics and Viability. This opportunity is to work within the Development and Regeneration part of the team, working to support two Directors across a mandate supporting developers, investors, Local Authorities and Public-Private Partnerships. The team is involved in the largest planning/ development/ regeneration schemes across the North and our pipeline of new instructions for 2024 and 2025 is substantial, including: - MIX Manchester - 2M sq ft of advanced manufacturing, R&D, laboratory, and office space with complementary hotel and amenity uses to the north of Manchester Airport for a JV comprising MAG Property, Columbia Threadneedle, BCEG and GMPF. - Major mixed-use, multi-phase development and regeneration projects across the North West & Yorkshire - Business Case preparation - securing grant funding from Combined Authorities and Homes England. - Huyton Town Centre Regeneration - mixed use Town Centre scheme for Genr8 Kajima. - Arden Cross - supporting Muse Places to develop 6m sqft advanced manufacturing, commercial, and innovation floorspace alongside 3,000 residential dwellings. - Salford Crescent - multi-phase mixed-use scheme for Muse/ECF - Chorlton District Centre - residential-led redevelopment of existing shopping centre in conjunction with PJ Livesey and GMPVF - Oldham - multiple regeneration schemes within the town centre for Muse/ECF following the production of a Development Framework - Stoke-on-Trent - next phases of the Smithfield City Centre regeneration scheme for Genr8 Key Responsibilities - Providing planning and development advice to public and private sector clients, with a focus on regeneration projects across, but not limited to, the North. - Assembling and working with multi-disciplinary professional teams to complete feasibility studies and business cases. - Supporting the preparation of Business Cases and Grant Funding Bids. - Analysing funding and delivery options. - Day to day project management and coordination of projects - including Business Case preparation, Development Framework Strategies and Option Appraisals. - Preparing Regeneration and Development Framework Strategies, including analysis of strategic policies, planning policy, development constraints and opportunities and client objectives to develop place-based strategies. - Undertaking project due diligence. - Advising, directing and managing project outputs from a range of disciplines/professionals, including working in multi-disciplinary teams. - Financial responsibility and management of projects. - Work with senior team members to shape and lead client pitches and proposals. - Identifying, developing and pursuing new business and marketing opportunities in a range of sectors. Person Specification/Requirements - Professional Membership of either the RICS (P&D) or RTPI with relevant post qualification experience. - Dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible and commercially astute with excellent interpersonal skills. - Good client relationship management skills and comfortable at presenting to clients. - Good interpersonal skills, a genuine belief in collaboration and a clear ability to lead and inspire others. - Strong attention to detail, commitment to achieving high quality client deliverables and hands-on involvement in the shaping and review of client deliverables and other outputs. - Ability to manage and coordinate the input and activities of other professionals within project design teams, give advice and direction, and make decisions. - The ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales, often under challenging circumstances, with minimal supervision and to a high standard. - Willingness and/or ability to identify and nurture new business opportunities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical abilities. - Confident team player able to work well with colleagues and clients as well as manage, nurture and mentor junior members of the team.
