We are currently seeking an Aviation Security Instructor to join our team based near Heathrow.
As an Aviation Security Instructor, you will be required to train Security Officers to the CAA Ground Security Operatives (GSO) syllabus. You will also be required to train Team Leaders, Supervisors and Duty Managers to the CAA Ground Security Supervisor (GSS) and Aviation Security Manager (ASM) syllabus. The role will require you to monitor, mentor and audit performance, providing the highest level of training and coaching to all levels of security staff. Responsibility to maintain all the correct documentation associated with training of staff is a key aspect of the role. A key focus of the role will be to support the Head of Training to ensure all training material is continuously updated, training compliance is met and training is delivered to meet the CAA Quality Assurance Framework.

The Role
Exciting and Rewarding, a typical day in the life as an Aviation Security Instructor:
6. Keeping full and complete training records for all learners to ensure they are effective in their roles, meeting all regulatory, legal, Wilson James and Aviation entity requirements. Ensuring all training materials meet the CAA Quality Assurance Framework
7. The development of the DfT training syllabus and to implement measures contained in the CAA Quality Assurance Framework
8. To continuously improve the standards and performance of the Security team, with the support of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Duty Managers in monitoring Security Officers to ensure compliance with all DfT and airport regulations, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer care
9. Oversee and deliver On Job Training, maintain all records associated with On Job Training
10. Deliver additional training courses that may be required from time to time and for which the candidate will receive the appropriate training prior to commencement.
11. Any additional reasonable duties requested by operational management
What are we looking for?
12. Ability to meet all vetting requirements
13. Proven background in security management;
14. Thorough knowledge of the NASP and related directives as contained in the mandatory qualification courses
15. Certified Instructor Number / Recognition of Competence (CIN / ROC) Numbers
16. Teaching Qualification equivalent to Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
17. DfT Aviation Security Manager (ASM) Training
18. Current RFX Certification
19. Formal / Informal Training for Assessment
20. Formal / Informal Training for Quality Assurance
