The role:
1. Preparation of Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, Site Access Appraisals using Microsoft Office programmes (Word and Excel);
2. An understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance;
3. Junction capacity modelling using the Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY);
4. Traffic signal design using LinSig;
5. Preliminary design of access, junction improvements and highway schemes using AutoCAD;
6. Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack;
7. Preparation of high-quality graphics using GIS packages and/or Corel Draw;
8. Contribute to working towards our business targets.
What you need to succeed:
1. Formal education in either Transport Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning;
2. Experience in the field of development focused transport planning;
3. A member (or seeking to be) of a professional membership, such as CIHT or ICE;
4. Excellent communication skills with a high standard of work ethic;
5. Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work proactively and use initiative.
